THE 21-year old woman who was struck with a cane knife at Vomo St in Lautoka earlier this week has been discharged from the Lautoka Hospital.
This was confirmed by police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri yesterday.
“Yes, I can confirm the victim has recovered and was discharged from the hospital and the accused has been referred to St Giles Hospital by the Magistrates Court in Lautoka,” Inspector Sokomuri said.
The victim, a University of the South Pacific student, was allegedly struck with a knife several times on the arms and head on Monday afternoon by the young man.
