Golf win
VINOD Chand won the overall gross of the PA Lal Group golf tournament that was held at the Labasa Golf Club over the weekend. Dinesh Goundar finished as runner-up while VC Goundar won the overall net. Keshwa Goundar and Ramen Prasad finished second and third respectively. Surend Kumar and Chand were awarded the nearest to pin prize. The event was a 36-hole stroke event.
B'ball training
THE Fiji under-19 boys' and girls' basketball teams are preparing for the Oceania Youth Basketball Championship in Australia this November. The boy's team coached by Saula Koroi is taking part in the Suva Laucala basketball league while the women's team is under the watchful eyes of Laisiasa Puamau, the Basketball Fiji development officer.
