THE six Nadroga players named in the Digicel 7s squad have been released to join the Outrigger On The Lagoon Nadroga side to prepare for the Farebrother-Sulivan Trophy clash with Northland this weekend.

The rest of the national sevens squad members marched into camp in Suva yesterday.

Nadroga manager Paula Biu said they had a successful meeting with the Fiji 7s team management where the players were given the green light to continue training with the Nadroga team.

Biu said it was agreed by both parties during their meeting that the Nadroga players would join the Stallions camp for the next challenge against Northland.

"But if any of our six players are selected into the final 16, than he will have to join the team because playing for the national team is a priority," Biu said.

"These players are part of the core of our team so they are very important to the success of our Farebrother campaign.

"We're happy that sevens team management have agreed to allow the boys to join our preparations for the game against Northland," Biu said.

The six Nadroga players in the national 7s squad are Sailosi Rabonaqica, Apisai Domolailai, Ulaiasi Lawavou, Peni Ravai, Samisoni Viriviri and Apisalome Waqatabu.

Yesterday, the champions continued their training in Sigatoka as they look forward to a tough encounter this week. Nadroga face Northland in the second defence of the coveted rugby silverware this Saturday.

The Nadroga versus Northland game was initially scheduled for last weekend but because of the heavy rain experienced in the west last week, the game was postponed to this week.
