FORMER Vodafone Cup champions Sabeto Roosters wants to reclaim the 2012 title when they face Makoi Bulldogs in the finals this Saturday.
The Sigatoka Electric Sabeto Roosters were champions in 2010 and coach Vela Tawake said they were ready to try and win the title again this weekend. Tawake said they knew playing Makoi won't be easy as they had shown during the season that they were one of the top teams in the local competition.
Tawake said the Roosters had been training well this week and the focus was on trying to improve on areas of their game they needed to improve on.
"We are ready for the final and we know we can do it," Tawake said.
"We know it will be tough but we believe we have the experience in the team to win the title again.
"I also want to challenge the Bulldogs that they better come prepared.
"I want to tell them winning the title won't be easy," Tawake said yesterday.
Tawake said the side had some niggling injuries after the semi-final win over the Police Sharks in Sigatoka last weekend.
"We have some minor injuries after the tough battle with Police but I'm sure the boys will all recover and be ready for big game on Saturday."
The Roosters is expected to be led by Apisai Nabou
