Book help for island schools

MISSIONARIES Peter and Susan Kingston will be travelling to the Lau Group next month to distribute books and clothes to children that need them.

The couple from Europe have been helping children in Fiji through their Pacific Outreach charity organisation for over 10 years.

"The books range from fiction to non-fiction and the clothes come from England. This is our calling and everything is worth it when we see the smiles of the children when we hand them their things," Mr Kingston said.

Mr and Mrs Kingston this week distributed clothes and books to 10 schools around Tavua and Rakiraki. These included the Tavua District, Vatukoula Primary, Vatukoula Covenant and Navatu District schools.

"These schools often have very little in terms of supplies. We hope that through our charity, these children will be blessed."

The missionaries are also actively involved in the Caribbean on drug awareness outreach programs.
