THE Nadi Weather Office has forecasted more rain for the Fiji group until Thursday.

Senior meteorologist Amit Singh confirms that the adverse weather condition is caused by an intensifying trough of low pressure that lies slow moving over the Fiji group.

"Rain is expected over most places from later today which will be frequent and heavy at times," Mr Singh said.

He said no flood warning had been issued but blocked drains could easily get flooded in such situations.

Mr Singh said the weather was expected to clear from tomorrow night.

Members of the public have been urged to exercise caution and avoid going near flooded rivers and creeks.
