FOUR national netball reps will take part in the Tako Lavo Mixed Netball tournament this weekend in Sigatoka.
Elenoa Vatureba, Adi Siteri, Alesi Waqa and Luse Kotobalavu have been invited by Navosa Mens and Mixed Association president Judy Kumar for the tourney that starts 11am at Lawaqa Park.
Kumar said the tournament was a build-up for the association's knockout to be held the following week.
"Essedon, Frendz, Caginitoba, Hideaway and InterContinental are some of the top teams that will compete in the tournament," said Kumar.
"And it is good to have national reps compete so that we can get a taste of top level netball and maybe our players can learn some points from them.
"The tournament will be used to select an open men's team, three mixed teams and an under-23 team that will take part in the national championship in Lautoka later this month."
Kumar said entries would close tomorrow so teams wanting to take part could contact him at True Blue Hotel for registration.
"Entry fee is only $50 for other business house teams that would like to take part are welcome to contact me for registrations.
"Also we are looking for corporate bodies to support the association so we can help develop the sport in Navosa and so that we have support as we are trying to enter four teams in the national champions which we have not taken part in the event since 2008," Kumar said.
