POLICE have launched a search for a man missing at sea.
The incident has also prompted the police to renew marine safety advice to people going out or intending to go out to sea.
Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri urged the public to heed weather warnings. He said the man from Lakeba accompanied three other men to go spear-diving at 6pm last Thursday. When the men decided to head home at about 11pm, they realised the 27-year-old was missing.
"The men went out diving when there were strong winds and rough seas," Insp Sokomuri said.
