STUDENTS at the University of the South Pacific took time out from studies and helped clean up the university's Lautoka campus on Wednesday.
The initiative, part of the regional learning centre's Safe, Green and Clean Campaign was designed to reinforce the fundamental concepts of the program - the creation of a safe, clean and environmentally conscious establishment that was conducive to learning.
Acting campus director and manager of USP's continuing and community education program Hasmukh Lal said the exercise helped students and teaching staff interact on a different level.
"This year, the students were divided into three teams and they were provided with cleaning agents and equipment to clean up various areas," he said.
