A Ba man accused of stealing about $10,000 worth of items and cash in a series of robberies was sentenced to another 21 months in prison by the High Court in Lautoka.
Previously serving a sentence for a similar offence, Pravin Dayal was handed the sentence by the High Court after he admitted committing the crimes.
The court heard that Dayal was part of a group of men that broke into a house in Valele in Ba on August 4, 2010, and stole jewellery, mobile phones, building equipment and shoes all valued at $10,307.50.
The court heard that Dayal was then involved in another robbery a week later where he walked off with $500 cash from a home in Namosau.
The accused was later arrested by police and admitted to stealing the items.
