TEAM captain Kevin Maitava led his Veivanua team to victory in the National Golf Association of Fiji (NGAF) fundraising golf tournament on Friday at the Fiji Golf Club.
Maitava's team of Moses Fong, Mervin Low and Jo Dulaki scored 91 points to win the competition.
In second place was NGAF president Sitiveni Rabuka's team. He partnered with Russel Gibson, Simon Hopper and Jim to card 89 points.
Sir Timoci Tuivanua's team came third with 89 points but lost on a countback. The other three members of the team were Ilaisa Labaibure, James Raman and Roy Ugra.
Ugra was the standout player in the team as he won the nearest to the pin (NTP) award on the second and 12th holes.
Labaibure, the tournament co-ordinator, said the tournament was a fundraising drive to raise funds for the men's national team that would compete in the World Amateur Teams Championship in Turkey from October 4 to 7.
"The turnout for the event was quite good and competition was tough," he said.
