VUNIKORO will adopt the strategy that guided them through undefeated this season in the Naitasiri Rugby Union (NRU) premier grade competition next year.
The club won the division two and Rosakuwai Shield beating Kasavu 28-15 at Ram Lakhan Park in Samabula yesterday
The victory saw Vunikoro and Kasavu promoted to the tier one competition, replacing Lelean Old Boys and Vunidakua.
Team coach Digitaki Levaci said they did nothing special in their training to record an impressive season.
"We just did our basics rights. I took over the team midway the season last year and lost in the quarters," the International Rugby Board Level Two coach said.
"At the beginning of the season this year we lost a game. The team didn't train for that match so I told them not to play resulting in the default loss.
"We haven't lost a match since and we are looking forward to similar performance in the premier grade."
Levaci has called on the NRU officials and club competition coordinators to be more organised in the future.
Competition organising committee secretary Ravuama Madigi said they were happy with the running of the weekly club games this year.
He said the teams maintained discipline throughout the competition, especially in the finals.
Meanwhile, Army won the premier grade title beating Kecisamani 18-3.
The soldiers also won the Bainimarama Shield.
