DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Australia captain George Bailey admits it's not a good look for his side to be ranked below Ireland in 10th spot on the ICC rankings following yesterday's heart-stopping defeat in extra time.
Teenager Pat Cummins was almost the hero twice as Australia lost the second match of their T20 series against Pakistan in a one-over eliminator after a tie in regular time.
Australia made 8-151 in reply to Pakistan's 4-151, with tailender Cummins hitting a six from the second-last ball to tie the scores then losing his wicket from the final delivery.
The 19-year-old Cummins begged Bailey for the chance to bowl to Pakistan in extra time after Australia had scored 11 runs off their one over.
Pakistan were 0-10 with one ball left. However Cummins bowled a wide, then Pakistan claimed a quick single from the next delivery to notch an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
