FIJI'S Tarani Kamoe and Annie Shannon are likely to make the Pacific junior squad that will tour Australia early next year.

Kamoe and Shannon are regarded as the medal prospects for Fiji during the 2015 Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.

International Tennis Federation acting development officer Pacific Oceania Gene Ridgway said the selections for the tours to New Zealand and Australia were in the final process.

He said invitation would be sent out to the squad members soon.

"The Regional Tennis Centre in Lautoka is running well," Ridgway said.

"Most of the competitions for the year have finished now. The kids are focusing on their academics with examinations coming soon.

"We have tours coming for the under-12 to New Zealand in December. And then we will have the tours for the U15 and U18s to Australia on the 1st of January. The selections are in the final process now and the invitations will be sent out soon."

Meanwhile, Kamoe and Shannon are competing in the Oceania Tennis Championship in New Caledonia.

The Oceania Tennis Championship is held in years when there is no Pacific Games.
