Clarify charge

THE State has been told to clarify the charges against an accused who allegedly committed sexual offences.

The man faces one count of rape and two of sexual assault.

High Court judge Justice Salesi Temo told the State to clarify if it was rape or attempted rape. He adjourned the case to October 15.

Laundering case

TEN witnesses are expected to take the stand in a money laundering case.

Doreen Singh appeared before High Court judge Justice Salesi Temo in Suva yesterday.

Defence lawyer Mehboob Raza confirmed filing a submission to the DPP to withdraw charges.

Justice Temo adjourned the case to October 1.

Hunt for juvenile

THE High Court in Suva has ordered the arrest of a juvenile.

It was heard that on the last court date bail was extended for the accused.

However, judge Justice Salesi Temo said it did not matter and issued a bench warrant.

The matter has been adjourned to October 9 for mention.

Rape suspects

FIVE youths between the ages of 16 and 22 years and charged with rape appeared before Justice Salesi Temo.

While a State lawyer did not object to bail, she requested strict bail conditions and that the youths not interfere with the complainant.

Justice Temo adjourned the matter to October 5 for mention.
