THE weather officer says the nights will be cold this weekend.
Confirming this to The Fiji Times, senior Nadi meteorologist Amit Singh said Fiji remained in the transition month to summer which is bringing cooler nights.
"Radiative cooling, cool air advection and effect of wind-wind chill are reasons for the cold weather conditions," Mr Singh said.
The weather office has predicted temperatures to drop as low as 14 degrees Celsius in some places.
Temperatures in Nadi up till Sunday has been forecasted to go down to as low as 15 degrees Celsius, Suva 19 degrees Celsius, Lautoka 15 degrees Celsius, Labasa, 16 degrees Celsius, Nausori, 18 degrees Celsius, Rakiraki, 17 degrees Celsius, Savusavu,19 degrees Celsius and Kadavu 21 degrees Celsius.
