THE Sumeet Tappoo concert plan in Fiji just got bigger.
According to the promoter Pawon Promotions a Bollywood dance team who will accompany Sumeet live on stage during all the three concerts in Fiji later this month.
The Bollywood dancers are part of the DNR dance team from Mumbai. Known as a very creative and high-energy dance team, they are among the leaders in the Indian film industry with performances in reality shows, television serials as well as live concerts.
Their live performances will be choreographed to the latest Bollywood hits and golden melodies of yesteryears to be sung by Sumeet.
The dance groups have extensive performing experience and have accompanied artists such as Karishma Kapoor, Diya Mirza, Raveena Tandon, Celina Jaitley, Yana Gupta, Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash Kher, Daler Mehndi, Alka Yagnik, and Kumar Sanu.
Also part of the team will be Bollywood star-comedian Dipoo Srivastava, making waves in the field of stand-up comedy in India.
Srivastava is an established film and TV star.
He has performed internationally and has done more than 2000 comedy shows including hugely popular TV comedy shows such as Laughter Challenge, Comedy Ka Badshah, Dhamal No 1, Funjabi Chak De, Laughter Express and Comedy Ka Mahasangram.
He has done comedy roles in Bollywood films such as Meri Padosan, Hello Darling and Stupid's.
Entitled A Celebration of Bollywood, Sumeet's Fiji tour will feature three concerts — FMF Gymnasium September 28, Tilak High School Auditorium, Lautoka on Sep 29, and Swami Vivekananda College Nadi on Sep 30. Tickets are $10, $20 and $30.
