NATIONAL sevens captain Setefano Cakau's return will boost Namosi's chances of featuring in the major division next season if they conquer Rewa in their promotion-relegation match this weekend in Nausori.

Cakau was in Sri Lanka during the B Division competition and arrived into the country last week. He was part of the Fiji sevens team fitness test yesterday.

Cakau's experience will add power to the Namosi backline which has national sevens reps Joji Ragamate and Ilai Tinai.

The Namosi man could force his way into the starting line-up for Lepani Botia who is recovering from an injury. Botia's fate will be known today.

Namosi team coach Timoci Wainiqolo said Cakau had a lot of experience which would be essential at this stage.

"Sete is back and he will strengthen our backline. Right now Lepani is injured so Sete will replace him if he fails to recover," he said.

"He (Sete) was named in our squad but was playing in Sri Lanka. Now he is back, his experience will add some strength to our backline.

"This is an important game for us. We know that Rewa has been playing in the major division and they play against the top guns in the country."

The game kicks off at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park on Saturday.
