ORGANISERS of the Na Domo singing competition are looking at making the singing competition an annual event if this year's competition is a success.
Co-ordinator Epi Fong said the singing competition, which starts this weekend with the first audition, could feature as part of the Lami Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish's annual bazaar.
"We'll see how this year's event goes. We are hoping it will be a success," Mr Fong said.
Money raised from the anĀnual event will go into projects planned for the year.
Mr Fong said the Na Domo competition was a community project to help nurture young talent.
"The main purpose of this competition is to create an opportunity to expose and develop raw talent, with a view to this being a springboard for competitors to participate more professionally at highly competitive levels thereafter," he said.
"We are confident that the delivery of a professional event will in turn, draw the crowd to this real talent show."
First auditions for Na Domo will be held on Saturday at the Downtown Boulevard from 10am to 5pm, followed by two Saturday mornings of Boot Camp under the guidance of qualified professionals who will provide basic training in singing skills like voice projection, articulation, pitch, intonation and stage presence.
One non-elimination round will follow and three elimination rounds right before the semi-finals and finals which be held at the Lami Parish bazaar on October 26-27.
