THE Suva rugby team this week started its preparation for 2012 Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy challenge against defending champions Nadroga.

Suva will challenge Nadroga on September 22. Suva coach Salimoni Ravouvou was at Albert Park on Saturday to watch some of his key players in action during the Suva rugby Escott Shield quarter-finals.

Suva last met Nadroga in the Digicel Cup semi-finals two weeks ago where they lost 16-8 after a tough battle at Lawaqa Park.

Suva's main kicker Kamenieli Neiqisa will need to sharpen his goalkicking skills as he missed a couple of easy shots against Nadroga.

National sevens wing Osea Kolinisau could also be called up to help in the kicking duties as he showed his form kicking two penalties to help his Covenant team beat Army in one Escott Shield quarter-finals last weekend.

Tailevu played the first Farebrother challenge last weekend and was unsuccessful losing to Nadroga 43-26.

This Saturday Northland travels down to the west to face the defending champions.

Nadi face the champions on September 15, Naitasiri on September 29 while Lautoka make their challenge on October 6.
