A TOTAL of 955 public service vehicles were inspected as a part of a four-day joint operation by the police, Land Transport Authority and Suva City Council.
Operation Suraksha was conducted between the Navua to Nasinu corridor, which included spot checks on PSVs and awareness on various issues.
The four-day operation ended on Monday.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said with the help of LTA on vehicle and engine maintenance, 118 defect notices were issued.
