A KENYAN national appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court on Monday for allegedly trying to import illicit drugs into the country.
Pamela Akinyi Angira was apprehended when the Transnational Crime Unit with the help of Customs and Immigration officers searched her at Nadi International Airport.
Ms Angira was allegedly found in possession of 2.4 kilograms of amphetamine drugs and subsequently charged with one count of importing illicit drugs and one of being in possession of illicit drugs.
A plea has yet to be taken from Ms Angira.
Nadi magistrate Thushara Rajasinghe has adjourned the matter to September 14.
