A MAN who pleaded guilty to theft has been handed a suspended sentence.
Ronald Vikash Pratap appeared before Suva Magistrate Yohan Liyanage yesterday.
The court heard Pratap agreed to stealing wooden tabua and three cassette tapes valued at $1025 between April and June last year.
In mitigation, Pratap, 31, said he was a first offender and had co-operated with the police to recover the items.
Mr Liyanage sentenced Pratap to six months and suspended it for two years.
