THE Sigatoka Electric Sabeto Roosters will be banking on their senior players to deliver the goods when they take on Police Sharks in the Fiji National Rugby League Vodafone Cup semi-final in Suva this Saturday.

The Roosters will go into the fixture with five members of the victorious side that upset Saru Dragons 16-14 during the 2010 Vodafone Cup final.

They include Roger Qoro, Peniasi Senikarawa, Tevita Seru, Iliesa Saulaca and Waisiki Ramatau.

Roosters coach Vela Tawake said mental toughness would be needed in the game against the Sharks.

He said they had incurred a lot of expenses in the last two weeks in preparation for their games.

Tawake said they had to travel to Ra for the eliminations and then to Sigatoka for the quarter-final.

"The team has been doing a lot of travelling," Tawake said.

"After the quarter-final last Friday, we gave the boys a break. There are some niggling injuries but nothing serious. For this week's game we will be concentrating on our defence.

"This was an area of concern against the Namatakula Tigers. We have to improve on our first up tackles. Once again we will be playing away from home. Here mental toughness will count. The senior players will have to play a major role in maintaining the formation of the team. The Sharks will have the home advantage. We expect another tough match and will not take them lightly."

In the other semi-final, Fair Trade Makoi Bulldogs will face defending champions Nadera Panthers.
