Lautoka

HOCKEY

Marist Eastgate

THE Marist Hockey Club of Suva will host the 2012 Marist Eastgate Memorial Hockey Open on September 21-23 at the National Hockey Centre in Suva. Men's and women's teams will battle it out for the prestigious Reginald and Dorothy Eastgate Memorial trophies. In addition, mixed under-14 development teams will also be battling for the Apted Trophy.

NETBALL

Coral Coast

TAKO Lavo mixed netball will be held on September 8 at Lawaqa Park. Registration $100 per team. Team selection for the National Championship on September 29 in Lautoka will be done. Under-23 and open men's and three mixed teams will be selected by executives and games committee. Special meeting will be held today at True Blue Hotel from 5pm. Fees to be paid at the meeting. Nadi

CLUB presidents meeting for the Nadi Netball will be held on Thursday at 5pm at Ratu Navula College. If presidents are not available please try to send a representative. Club games will commence on September 8 at Koroivolu Park from 10am. All interested teams are requested to be at the ground before 10am.

Navosa

KNOCKOUT will be held on September 8 at Lawaqa Park at 10am. Fees $30 to be paid by September 4. Winner and runner-up takes all. Off season games will be run for six weeks before the break up party in October. Contact Judy 6502123. New teams are welcome. Open men's U23 and U19 trials will be held at Lawaqa at 4pm from today to Thursday. Interested players are welcome to join Navosa. Friendly games for NMMNA will be held this Thursday at 4pm at Lawaqa. Teams to confirm participation by Wednesday. Selection of National Championship squad will be held during the Tako Lavo Mixed Netball Competition this Saturday. Games begins at 11am. Registration fee $50 for Mixed and $30 for Open Women's. Selection of team A, B and under will be held for Western Rally in Lawaqa mid-October. New clubs are welcome to join with the fee of $30. Lautoka Men's and Mixed

RUGBY

Coral Coast 'The Great Eight' 7s

THE Fiji's Coral Coast 'The Great Eight' 7s tournament will be held at Lawaqa Park on November 2-3 to determine the eight teams for the Coral Coast 7s from November 15-17. 24 teams will be accommodated with $500 entry fee. Fiji 7s squad

THE following players have been requested to attend the second fitness test for the 2012/2013 Digicel Fiji 7s squad tomorrow at the HPU Gym in Suva. This is in preparation for the 2012 /2013 Gold Coast 7s which will be on October 13 and 14. Players are to bring their passport and two passport photos and training gear.

The fitness test will begin at 9.30am.

THE Dere Bay Nabasovi District School 7s and netball tournament will be held on October 5-6 at the school grounds in Nasau, Koro. Registration fees is $150 and first 32 teams to pay will be accepted. New Vision Bure 7s

THE New Vision Bure 7s tournament will be held at the Suva Grammar ground on September 29. A total 32 teams will be accommodated. Prizes for Cup, Plate and Bowl finalists. Golden Cue

THE Export Freight Services Limited Golden Cue Open Snooker tournament will be held on September 8 and 9 in Suva. Entry fee is $30 and entries close on August 20. Winner gets $500, runner-up get $250 and semi-finalists get $100 each and quarter-finalists get $50 each. Special prize will be awarded for highest break.
