ROBERT Williams was crowned the new champion of the Inner Circle Extroverts (ICE) 2012 Golf Tour.
Williams carded a net score of 222. He won by ten shots from Olaf Allen. Pravish Punja was third with 234. Billy Kundan Singh scored 255.
The ICE group of Suva was formed in the early 1990s by some golf enthusiasts who loved to socialise as well.
The late Haroon Lateef was one of the founding members.
The current 16 members include Ratu Tu'uakitau Cokanauto, Mahmood Rahman, Vijay Madhavan, Olaf Allen, Gardiner Whiteside, Narend Kumar Ambo, Cecil Browne, Robert Williams, Ceaser Lateef, Pau Balekatuba, Pravish Punja , Jessy Kang, Mansoor Khan, Adish Naidu, Robert Williams and Arthur Groom.
The name "Inner Circle Extroverts" is the brain child of Cecil Browne.
Group member Vijay Madhavan said they played golf regularly and organised social events with family and friends and also contributed to charitable organisations and sponsored golf events.
"Special thanks to our guests, Eddy Yuen and Philip Temo of the Luvleys Group who were with us on the tour," Madhavan said.
The 2012 ICE Tour started at the Natadola Bay Championship course last Friday.
The grouped played at the Nadi Airport Golf Club on Saturday and then finished their tour at the Fiji Golf Club in Suva on Sunday. Browne, the defending champion, was unable to compete as he was away overseas for the early part of the tour.
