A BURST water main disrupted supply to parts of Labasa yesterday. As a result, consumers in Vunivau, Basoga, Cawaira, Soasoa, Vunika, Vitadra, Bulileka, Low Cost, Urata and Boca were asked to store as authority workers fixed the problem. Water Authority of Fiji spokeswoman Kelera Serelini said the burst main was located along the distribution line from the Benau Treatment Plant to Volanau Reservoir.
Wait is over
THE wait for women of Cakaudrove is finally over with the groundbreaking ceremony of their much-awaited resource centre in Savusavu tomorrow. Acting Australian High Commissioner Glenn Miles and Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu will officiate at the event. The women have waited more than 10 years to build the centre and have conducted fundraising drives for the project.
