POLICE are concerned with the number of aggravated robbery cases within the Southern and Eastern divisions.
This follows a recent robbery on Sunday night at Grantham in Raiwaqa where three unknown men stole assorted jewellery valued $2100 from two women after the suspects entered their home through an open front door and pushed them to the floor.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed the thieves grabbed their jewellery from their neck before they fled the scene.
"The two women sustained minor injuries while investigations continue," Ms Naisoro said.
In another incident on the same night at Shalimar St in Suva, a man was stabbed on his left palm and robbed opposite New World Supermarket.
The thief stole with $85 cash, a Nokia mobile phone, voter registration card, Fiji National Provident Fund card, Bank South Pacific card to the total value of $611.70.
Ms Naisoro also confirmed that in another case in the Eastern Division, a 15-year-old student of Dilkusha in Nausori was robbed by an unknown male while walking home.
She said the suspect made off with a laptop and CDs to the total value of $560.
