ITALY-bound Adrea Cocagi wants to play at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
And he is keeping his options open on whether he will feature for the Flying Fijians or the Italian Azzuri once he completes his three-year residency.
Cocagi signed a one-year contract with the Rugby Laquilla club in the Italian top division and could extend his stint with the club if he continues to impress.
The Nuku lad from Serua was left in the dark after signing a contract with the Newcastle Knights rugby league club earlier this year.
Cocagi said he was pleased with his rugby union contract and hoped to grab the opportunity with both hands.
"My aim is to play in the next Rugby World Cup whether it be for Fiji or Italy, I will decide on that later but my aim now is to improve my game and try to impress so I can further extend my one-year contract," the 18-year-old said.
Former Italy international Apenisa Tute Vodo, who has close links with the Laquilla club, negotiated the contract after catching a glimpse of Cocagi the Uprising rugby team training in Pacific Harbour.
Cocagi was farewelled by his family and friends yesterday in Lomary. Cocagi flies out of the country tomorrow.
