THE Fiji Meteorological Services has a new-look website.
A lot of positive feedback have been received by the FMS since it launched the new website on July 30.
"In the past, we received numerous complaints from the public during cyclones that they were not able to locate products such as warnings and advisories on our websites," said FMS principal systems analyst Makereta Cinavilakeba.
"The new-look website was an initiative of the Department of Meteorology to provide easy access to weather and climate information for our customers," Ms Cinavilakeba said. "It also gives visitors a general overview of the types of services that are provided by the department locally and in the region."
She said the new website was developed by Webmedia Fiji and was hosted with the Department of Meteorology.
She said major highlights of the new website included current warning link that activated on the front page if a warning or advisory existed. The other highlights are the temperature display with forecast situations on the front page.
"We received a lot of positive feedback on the new look of our new website from our visitors."
