Fiji on tour
THE Flying Fijians team will play the Gloucester Rugby team during its November tour. This was reported on the nowrugby.com website. Gloucester Rugby managing director Chris Ferguson said this would be the first time the Fijians were to play at Kingsholm. "It will be a first visit here for Fiji and we're delighted to welcome them. I am very pleased to say that it has been designated an international match so the Fijians will be performing their haka before the game. "It should be a great night, an occasion to remember," he told the website.
Deacon clear
LONDON Welsh have confirmed they will not pursue any further action against Deacon Manu over Gavin Henson's fractured cheekbone. Henson was ruled out for up to six weeks of the new season after undergoing surgery on Sunday following a first-minute challenge by Scarlets prop Manu in a pre-season friendly. Aviva Premiership newcomers London Welsh were reportedly furious over the incident at the time but having reviewed a DVD of the match, they announced this morning they were satisfied the clash was accidental.
Talei out
ROBUST Flying Fijians number eight Netani Talei's injury has ruled himself out of the Edinburgh team against Munster. The Fiji skipper sustained an injury while training. Talei resumed duty with his Scotland club after leading Fiji to the Pacific Nations Cup in Japan.
