Nadroga has upper hand: Seruvakula

FORMER Naitasiri strongman Senirusi Seruvakula has tipped Nadroga to win their first Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy match against challengers Tailevu tomorrow at Nadi's Prince Charles Park.

Seruvakula, who now coaches Vatukoula, says this is Nadroga's era.

"Nadroga has so many positives stacked with them." he said.

"They have a huge squad of elite players who are as good as their first fifteen and coach Esala Nauga is so smart in rotating his players who perform to high expectations."

The former Naitasiri and Tailevu Knights skipper said this was not the case for other top teams in the major unions who had a smaller squad of players to choose from.

"Most teams send their first squad to big games but do not have enough quality players to fall back on compared to Nadroga."

Seruvakula said another positive factor for Nadroga was that players valued the white Nadroga jumper.

"The white Nadroga jersey has so much meaning to whoever dons it and it's so precious to them."

But he said Tailevu's advantage was they had been resting for two weeks.

He reminded the two teams to minimise mistakes.

"It will be a good game to watch but I tip Nadroga to win."
