THE Rewa rugby team wants to remain in the major union next year and they know they will have to beat the 2012 B Division champions Namosi in order to achieve this.

Rewa was the bottom placed team in this year's Digicel Cup competition and they now wait for the winner of B Division competition in the promotion-relegation series.

Rewa team manager Inia Tubui said they didn't want to return to the B Division next year.

Tubui said they knew it would be hard but they were ready for the team that they would face in the promotion-relegation.

""We know it's not going to be easy as we will be playing the B Division champion but we are going to give it our best as we don't want to return to the B Division," Tubui said.

"We respect our opponents in promotion-relegation but we're not going to give in easily."

Tubui said they moved into camp yesterday as they prepare for the toughest game of the season.

"We know how important this game is for our survival in the major union and we're doing all our preparations so we can be ready for the promotion-relegation," Tubui said.

"The boys have been training hard in the past few weeks but we go into camp from today (yesterday).

"We are taking this game (promotion-relegation) seriously," Tubui said.

Rewa will face B Division winner Namosi next week.

Namosi defeated Malolo in the B Division final on Wednesday.
