A NEW Land Registration and Development Unit has been formed by the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma to look after and develop all lands coming under its ownership.
And the Methodist Church has asked church elders in different divisions to ensure all lands are well documented in order for the church to derive maximum benefit from it.
In his opening speech at the Methodist Church conference on Wednesday, former church president Reverend Ame Tugaue said the utilisation of those lands would finance the administration and outreach programs of the church.
(The church needs to utilise and develop its land assets in order to finance its administration and outreach programs)," he said.
Mr Tugaue said the new unit would register and develop all church lands and called for all divisional office bearers to provide assistance in getting this work started.
