THREE motor vehicle incidents were reported in the Central Division between Friday night and early yesterday morning.
The incidents took place on Gordon St, in Valelevu and Lobau respectively.
According to Police public relations manager, Ana Naisoro, a vehicle belonging to a 29-year-old mechanic of Rovadrau, Navua, caught fire while heading towards Suva.
The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire.
Ms Naisoro said the fire was believed to have started from the battery terminal.
She said investigations were continuing.
In a separate incident, a bus hit a four-wheel drive vehicle at Valelevu about 2am yesterday.
Witnesses said the bus, which was on its way to Suva, hit the vehicle which was parked in a compound.
Ms Naisoro said as a result, the vehicle crashed into an electricity post causing power outage in the area yesterday.
However, she said no casualties was reported.
In the third incident, a ten-wheeler truck tumbled while trying to reverse on a sand bank on Gordon St.
The driver escaped injuries.
