Tonight the Adi Senikau Pageant will have an internationally recognised diva to light up the FBC stage on their contest night.
She will also feature in the Hibiscus float and march parade tomorrow .
She will also make an appearance on crowning night at Albert Park, where she is scheduled to entertain the crowd with her magnificent voice.
Yes, the Aussie diva herself, Paulini Curuenavuli is indeed coming over to join the city of Suva celebrate the 2012 Hibiscus Festival and she is very excited to be a part of it.
The Hibiscus Events Group had kept Paulini's Fiji visit a well guarded secret until now.
Local vude prince, Savuto Vakadewavosa was just as excited as Paulini about her performance here for the mother of all festivals.
Savuto promises one thing which the people of Fiji and fans will notice: "This time, we will be seeing a a new look, new attitude Paulini."
Hibiscus Festival chairman, Hirdesh Prasad, said Paulini's surprise guest appearance marked a milestone for the country's annual Hibiscus Festival program.
"I'm very grateful to my team for pulling this together on time," he said.
When the Hibiscus Events Group approached Paulini's management inviting her to come and be a special guest artist at this year's festival, the songstress was very keen.
When asked how eager Paulini was in coming over for the Hibiscus early this week, her manager Yanna Moutzouris said: "Very" (eager to come to Fiji!) .
"Any opportunity or invitation she receives for a visit to Fiji she always tries to work into her schedule!" she said.
Paulini, an International Platinum recording artist, is known for her big heart, having being involved in so many charitable events around the world, but according to her management, this one in particular was special and close to her heart because it was for her home country, Fiji.
And Paulini is just hot off the stove so to speak, having recently released her Single Fireman which is a hot dance number popping the charts in Australia, commemorating the work of firemen around the world.
Her performances in Suva at this stage in her career will be one with a difference, a rare insight into the newly transformed diva of Fijian roots which is a must see for all her fans and the people of Fiji .
Paulini is currently working on her Album set for release in the near future having just returned from New York and Europe with studio recordings and writing.
According to manager, Moutzouris, Paulini spent a great deal of time in New York this year writing and recording her upcoming third solo album.
"She was fortunate enough to collaborate with some amazing writers and producers whilst over there and felt the most inspired she's ever been. Her new sound reflects the New York energy and inspiration she felt and cannot wait for all her fans to hear and embrace it when it's released this summer," Moutzouris said.
The new Paulini is inspired, she's got new moves, and she's fitted with her newly found 'New York' experience.
And she cannot wait for all her fans to hear and see what she now has to offer - and embrace the new her!
And even though this may be the shortest stay for the songstress to her homeland its one she has embraced wholeheartedly.
The Hibiscus Events Group is grateful to Paulini's Management, the Holiday Inn and One World Flight Center for making her trip to Fiji possible.
"We invite the public to come and see her on Friday Night and Saturday Night at the Vodafone Hibiscus Festival," a statement from the Group said.
The following are excerpts of an interview between this writer and Yanna Moutzouris on Paulini's success to date.
