VALUES and ethics are important to keep you motivated throughout your life, it is also the foundation of a successful life.
These were the words of Northern Divisional Police Commander SSP Seru Savou.
Addressing the first ever Holy Family Secondary School cadet passing out parade, SSP Savou said the program was aimed at instilling discipline and leadership qualities within students.
He said cadet training was not about drills or commands involved in the drills.
"It is aimed at building a wholesome personality and character for any child to prepare them for their future," he said.
SSP Savou said cadet programs were also aimed at eradicating involvement of students in engaging in devious behaviour as it promoted a life of obedience and discipline.
"Cadets are about building self-discipline, unity, patriotism and social oneness," he said.
The best female cadet officer was Alumita Rakubu and her male couterpart parade sergeant major Mesake Tabuaciri.
The top parade award went to Cikobia native and parade commander Marama Rusaqoli who scooped the baton of honour.
