HIBISCUS Festival king and queen contestants took time out of their busy schedule yesterday to visit the unprivileged at the Women's Corrections and Remand Centre.
For most of them it was a mind-changing event when they learnt to appreciate the plight of inmates.
However, they were also reminded that their journey did not end there.
Fiji Correction Services director of corporate services Peniasi Kunatuba thanked the contestants and told them about developments taking place within the service, which included rehabilitation programs.
Last night, thousands flocked to Albert Park to enjoy the festivities.
