THREE Lautoka Central College students will make their break into the rugby league scene for Crushers against Saru Dragons in the Lautoka zone playoffs today.

Watisoni Mudunavere, Kelevi Tabaka and Tikiko Noke all played for the Central under-18 rugby team in the Deans competition this season. The schoolboys were in impressive form for the Crushers this season, said team coach Mesake Navugona. The winner will qualify for the national quarterfinals.

"It is a do or die for us at this stage because the winner will go to the national quarter-finals," Navugona said.

Crushers take on Saru at 1.40pm at the Lautoka Methodist grounds. In other matches, West Tigers play Warriors, the Saru under-18 take on Sabeto and the Crushers U16 tackle Nadi Raiders in the first game at 9am.
