IT was a night of excitement for four primary and 10 secondary schools as they made their voices heard through songs and dances at the annual Tadra Kahani competition.

The Vodafone Arena stage came alive on Thursday night as the schools highlighted issues that affect society.

International School Suva took top honours in the junior division with their theme 'Coping with Cancer'.

In the senior division, Cathedral Secondary School scooped the first prize of $2500 with their focus on bullying in schools.

Total Event manager Loretta Jackson earlier said $14,000 in cash grants were distributed to schools to assist them with their preparations while $11,200 were given out in cash prizes on the night.
