THE competition in the Kaila! Star Search has never been so intense, says organising committee member Savuto Vakadewavosa.
Mr Vakadewavosa said the competition this year had been so tough that judges have had to include an extra finalist from the semi-finals.
"Only 10 performers were supposed to make it to the final but we have 11 this year," he said.
Akuila Raibevu, Grace Schafer, Lusia Naituku, Siteri Natera, Ilisoni Rabeti, Cavin Hill, Finau Mateiwai, Mariana Rova and Milika Roro are hoping to win the competition with renditions of their favourite songs while dance group Party Rock Crew and Korean band ROG hope their performances will get them the top honours for the night.
"This final is definitely a must-see. We encourage people to come on Saturday and support Fiji's talents," Mr Vakadewavosa said.
"The preparations have been intense with singers being careful to choose the right songs, dances the right music and band that will get the crowd's attention."
The Kaila! Star Search grand finale will be held today at Albert Park. Tickets are being sold at Village 6 cinemas for $3 and at Albert Park.
