THE overall activity on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE) e-trading platform was active this week as 37,587 securities exchanged hands garnering a consideration amount of $75,651. Moreover, with the restricted security, Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) registering an increase in its share price of 0.35 per cent, the overall capitalisation of the market ascended as well ending the week at a value of $792,851,717.
The order flow remained sturdy as well with $94,997 worth of new orders registering on the platform during the week under review.
The SPSE Total Return Index, STRI rose 0.39 per cent ending the week at 1810.94. The share price return of 0.35 per cent generated by FHL and the dividend return of 4.72 per cent from RBG resulted in the market capitalisation weighted total return index to rise for the week.
FHL saw its share price increasing by $0.01 closing the week at $2.85. The security saw 111 trades, of which majority of the parcels were the unexecuted dividend re-investment orders from the prior week.
