THE High Court in Suva has acquitted two men of rape-related charges.

The men were charged for separate offences.

On the first count, a man was charged for raping his neighbour's wife while on the second count the woman's husband was charged with aiding and abetting. The alleged offences happened in January this year.

The court heard from the complainant that after having sex with her husband, he forced her to have sex with a neighbour. Both men later took the stand and said the sex between the three was consensual.

The court also heard the husband was a church pastor. The men were found not guilty by a majority.

In his judgment, Justice Paul Madigan said he agreed with the majority verdict and found the men not guilty of the offences.

"You are acquitted and discharged," Justice Madigan said.
