FIJI-born Sumeet Tappoo is set to enthrall the local audience next month with his latest transition into Bollywood type concerts.
The concert Celebration of Bollywood was launched at the Cozmo Lounge in Tappoo City in Suva earlier this month by Pawon Promotions, the Australian-based promoter of the concerts.
In a statement, Pawon Promotions said in association with Suva personality Ajay Amrit, it was ready to present the extravaganza of romantic music entitled Celebration of Bollywood.
"The general support in Fiji has been overwhelming despite the economical situation, which confirms music brings people together and relieves them of their sorrows or concerns," it said.
Sumeet's concert will open in Suva on September 28 with a full complement of Bollywood musicians, glitz and glamour.
On September 29, he will perform in Lautoka and the closing concert will be held in Nadi on September 30.
Pawon Promotions said ticket prices start from $10 to enable all music lovers to enjoy the music of yesteryear and modern songs.
"Sumeet Tappoo who recently recorded a romantic duet with singing diva Sunidhi Chauhan for a blockbuster movie to be released in 2013 will set the record straight with his talents of modern romantic songs and his versatility and transition into playback singing in movies," it said.
Accompanying Sumeet will be Jasmine Kapadia, a female singer who has captured the hearts of many in India.
Pawon Promotions' Aunindra Raj Bachu also said in the statement that he was taking pride in being associated and supportive of the Tae Kami Foundation — Kids with Cancer.
