THE Bank of the South Pacific is offering free internet banking. While recognising that access was a barrier for the internet savvy customers, the bank has installed kiosks in its branches.
"Since we started to provide free internet banking access at all our branches many of our clients now regularly use our internet banking kiosk to conduct their own personal online banking," BSP general manager retail, Lew Kenah said.
BSP online personal internet banking allows customers to check their balance, review transaction history, pay bills, transfer funds to payees, or even schedule payments.
"Credit card customers are now enjoying the convenience of internet banking to promptly review their balances or make payments," Mr Kenah said.
"Recently, Fiji's banking industry has been scourged with malicious threats of fraud either by online hacking or electronic fraud.
"I am pleased to confirm that BSP Online banking customers were not affected by the most recent threats.
The recent investments we've made to introduce Factor 2 authentication for our customers has effectively protected them from this threat," said Mr Kenah.
