ROADMAKER Naim Engineering Construction Fiji Limited has expressed a continued commitment to furthering the educational pursuits of needy schoolchildren in the country with the recent aid of information technology equipment to a Nadi school.

Naim general manager (Fiji) Johari Abdullah said the awarding of scholarships to two students earlier this year and the donation of computers to Nadi Muslim College was the first in a series of gestures by the company to assist in the education needs of the flood-affected.

"The Fiji Muslim League approached us and we responded by acquiring eight computers and printers for Nadi Muslim College. We thought this was timely as we are in the month of Ramadan. This is the first but by no means will be the last of this type of corporate social responsibility activity for Naim," he said.

Apart from giving computers to needy schools, Naim has also awarded scholarships to two students — Malcam Prasad of Suva and Nitin Chand from Tavua — to study civil engineering in Malaysia under a four-year degree program.
