ALLEGED fugitive Ben Padarath has been further remanded by the Lautoka Magistrates Court and will remain at the Lautoka Corrections Centre remand facility.
According to west police prosecutor Assistant Superintendent Anil Prasad, Mr Padarath has been remanded until September 4.
Last week, Magistrate Sujeewa Nishanka handed a copy of a written ruling to his lawyer Mere Vasiti and adjourned the matter to next month.
ASP Prasad said no plea was taken during Mr Padarath’s appearance. He said full disclosures would also be given to the court and the defence at the next appearance.
Mr Padarath is charged with one count of stowing away after allegedly boarding the New Caledonia-bound sea vessel Rio Thelon owner last month without the consent of the Ports Authority or the vessel.
