CENTRAL Primary School student Ruby Coffin starred in the International Tennis Federation Pacific Oceania Junior Championship which finished in Lautoka on Friday.
Ruby excelled in the tournament participating in the girl's singles under-12 category at the Regional Tennis Complex in Nadovu.
The Class Seven student topped her pool, winning all five matches.
She is the daughter of former Fiji hockey rep Ernest Coffin.
Fiji Tennis Association executive member and national coach Naga Reddy classed Ruby as a future Fiji rep.
National rep Tarani Kamoe lost one match in the girl's singles U18 division. She went down to Marcia Tere-Apisah of Papua New Guinea 6-3, 6-3. Annie Shannon lost two matches and was placed third behind Tere-Apisah and placed Tarani. Mulan Kamoe finished fourth in the girl's singles U15 division.
Krishneel Kumar in the boy's singles U18 grade and Krishan Raju in the boy's singles U15 category grade failed to find their form in the tournament.
