AN Australian Member of Parliament intends to return to the country to provide assistance to the needy.

Following her first visit to Fiji, Lyn Breuer — Speaker of the House of Assembly in the Parliament of South Australia — will extend her aid work to include locals.

The people, the beach and the hospitality had much to do with her decision to return to Fiji, she told Warwick International Hotels public relations manager Loata Koroi where she stayed.

"What really inspired her, was when she visited some nearby villages and got to see the real culture and tradition of the Fijian people and how the people live their lives daily," Ms Koroi said.

She frequents Africa for her charity work. And on her next visit to Fiji, Ms Breuer intends to bring her children.

Her recent trip to Fiji followed a week-long conference in the Solomon Islands. She found out about the country from friends who had visited Fiji.
