RKSOB qualify

RATU Kadavulevu School Old Boys rugby side edged Red Rock 7-5 in the Suva Rugby Union club competition last weekend. The Lote Rasiga-coached Red Rock team had its stars players like Varinava Are. Both teams were locked 0-all at the break. Red Rock scored in the second spell to lead 5-0 and with only minutes away from fulltime, RKSOB's hooker Jack scored a try and the succesfull conversion from Josevata clinched them a spot in the semi-final this weekend. Team official Viliame Turagavou said it was teamwork that got them the win.

Serua in camp

THE Serua rugby 15s team marches into camp today as they prepare for the B Division Southern Rally competition. Coached by former Rewa mentor Watisoni Ratulevu, the side will be camping at the Vunibau Village hall. Twenty nine players were selected after the trials last week. Serua is optimistic of a good outing this season.

Midday match

THE Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union have moved the Deans Tier One semi-final to midday to avoid the rescheduling of matches in case their was another power failure at the ground. The first game will be played at 10am between the Sila Central High School and Lomaivuna in the Tier Two Under-18 final. The much anticipated Tier One U18 semi-finals between RKS and Nasinu kicks off at 12.30pm while QVS plays AOGHS at 1.50pm.

Rugby match

THE postponed Digicel Cup match between neighbours Lautoka and Nadi will be played today at Prince Charles Park. The match was scheduled to be played last month, however adverse weather condition forced the game to be postponed. The match kicks off at 3pm while the Under-20 games will be played at 1pm. However, both teams failed to qualify for the top eight leaving Tailevu, Naitasiri, Suva and defending champions Nadroga competing for top honours.
